Wigan Athletic face stiff competition with the targets that boss Roberto Martinez has identified to bolster his squad this January.

Crystal Palace striker Victor Moses is apparently being pursued by a posse of clubs with AS Roma now joining the Latics, Liverpool, Sunderland and Real Madrid in the race for his signature.

An old news story that was in the Sun back in August re-emerged this week stating that the Latics had agreed a fee with Palace but that was proved to be incorrect in the summer and mores the pity with Moses demanding so much attention.

Another of Roberto Martinez` targets, namesake Jackson Martinez is reportedly the subject of interest from La Liga side Real Zaragoza, the Colombian hit man though is thought to favour joining his compatriot Hugo Rodallega at the DW Stadium and the Latics should be able to fight off the competition on this one.
