Having built up a moderate amount of hype via social media, Wigan Athletic have revealed their new home kit for the 2017/18 season.

On the Latics Official site, models Michael Jacobs and Reece James offer an alluring stare at the camera as they sport a blue and white striped number complete with black pinstripes.

Or maybe their breathing is restricted by the new ultra-gripping ‘kombat’ skin-tight shirts? Thankfully, supporters will be given the choice of a ‘standard’ non-figure hugging version, which will be available for 42 quid (32 quid juniors).

…But you can also buy the tighter one for £55 if you’re up for a laugh.

14 July is the date to queue outside the Latics shop and Grand Arcade DW Sports, because the strip will be available to all for the very first time.

As an added bonus, you can add a name and any number for an extra tenner, so get something stupid like ‘Lum Bago’ and send a pic to Vital Wigan. Best entry wins… absolutely nothing but the respect and admiration of your peers.

And oh yeah, you can buy the new shirt online from wiganathletic.com from 13 July if you can’t find your tent and flask to camp out overnight at the DW.

But that’s not all! Don’t forget that ‘2017-18 season card holders will receive a 10% discount on all items of 2017-18 Wigan Athletic official kit items.’

So what are you waiting for?

…What, for it to go on sale on 13th July? Er, oh yeah?
