Former Latics player Jean Beausejour has joined Chile top division side Deportivo Colo-Colo, commonly known as Colo-Colo, who are based in the nation’s capital Santiago and are regarded as the country’s premier club.
The 30 year old left wing back spent two and a half seasons at the DW Stadium, joining from Birmingham in January 2012 and played a pivotal role in Latics fight against relegation during his first season at the club.

|HAVE YOUR SAY|
Beausejour made 85 appearances for the Latics scoring 3 times, he left the club at the start of July when his contract expired due to a wish to return home to Chile, Latics fans watched their former player score in the World Cup finals this summer and make history, his goal against Australia in the group stages meant he became the first Chile player to score in two consecutive World Cups, following a goal in the South Africa 2010 tournament.
Best wishes to a player that brought a smile to my face every time I saw him play, he was a colourful character and could hit a wonderful cross in to the box, all the best Jean and thanks for the memories.
