Let’s take a quick look at what happened in the other league fixture on the Seaside

DIVISION: League One
VENUE: Bloomfield Road

Ahead of tomorrow’s home match against Blackpool at the DW Stadium (kick-off 7:45pm), I take a look at the reverse fixture by the sea.

ROUND-UP

After heading the ball beyond his own goalkeeper and allowing Kyle Vassell to give Blackpool the lead in an empty goal, Latics centre-back Chey Dunkley would go on to score a brace to the turn the game on its head.

The three points would be consolidated in the second half, as midfielder David Perkins came off the bench to score his first ever Wigan Athletic goal against his former club.

THREE FUN FACTS

1. At the time, this was Blackpool’s first defeat in 11 home games.

2. Tomorrow’s meeting will be the fourth between the two clubs this season, having played once in the league, once in the Checkatrade Trophy and once in the Carabao Cup.

3. Devante Cole, who was signed from the Tangerines’ local rivals Fleetwood Town, could make his Wigan debut tomorrow night.
