British Olympic medal hopeful, Great Britain pole-vaulter, Holly Bleasdale is 100% behind the Emma Hoolin Appeal and the Walk4Emma event that is taking place next Saturday (11th Feb) when there will be a few hundred people walking between the DW Stadium and the Reebok Stadium to support and raise awareness for Wigan girl Emma Hoolin.

British number one, Holly, who’s current personal best is an amazing 4.87 metres, is red hot favourite to pick up a medal at this summer’s Olympic Games, she is currently in fine form and last weekend returned from France where she smashed her PB and recorded the second highest jump of all time

The UK’s number 1

Unfortunately due to competing at the UK Championships in Sheffield next weekend Holly won’t be able to participate in the Walk4Emma, but in support of the event she has very kindly donated a pair of ‘spikes’ which she has signed and are currently being auctioned on ebay

Speaking to Vital Latics Holly said: ‘I really would have liked to have participated in the Walk4Emma event, but unfortunately I’m competing that weekend so I will have to miss out’

‘Wish everyone the best of luck from me and remind them all what a wonderful cause they are supporting, I hope that my spikes can raise a few pounds and help support the fund’
