Wigan Athletic and England front man Emile Heskey will snub a January move to Aston Villa in order to guarantee himself one last mega pay-day in the summer
It is well documented that Heskey`s contract at the JJB runs out in June and it is understood that the club are willing to let him leave in January for a fee to recoup some of the £5 million that they paid Birmingham City for the former Liverpool and Leicester City man in 2006
Heskey isn`t seeing things that way though and with the chance to pocket anything from £3 million upwards as a signing on fee come the summer, when he would also have a pick of clubs, who can blame him
Villa might be an attractive proposition and with the chance to team up with former mentor Martin O`Neill a big pull for Heskey he could well end up back in the Midlands, but not before the 1st July 2009.
