Wigan Athletic and England striker Emile Heskey finally hit the 100 Premier League goal of a career that`s taken him from Leicester City, Liverpool, Birmingham City and now the Latics.

His late, late, late winner in yesterdays game against Portsmouth was very satisfting and not only did it give the big man his 100th goal it also gave the Latics the 3 points as they won the game 2-1, Heskey told reporters:

“It Means a lot to me to reach 100 goals and I am very pleased that the goal won us the match, we had been under a bit of pressure in the game but we had our chances as well”

“The weather made for an exciting game and we have come off the back of four poor results to get a good victory here today”
