Hendry Thomas was voted the Wigan Athletic man of the match for his performance in Wednesday nights 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the DW Stadium.

The Honduras international gave a strong if unspectacular display sat in the Latics midfield just in front of Antolin Alcaraz and Gary Caldwell, where he broke up countless Liverpool attacks with a tenacity to get the ball, once he had won possession, Thomas kept it simple and looked for team mates to carry the ball forward whilst he stayed to provide cover.

Thomas played a pivotal role in what was a very good team performance on the night and he fully deserved the man of the match accolade.

For the record the voting was:

Hendry Thomas – 37%
Tom Cleverley – 24%
Charles N`Zogbia – 15%

The new poll is available for you to vote in on the right side of this page, to participate simply access the poll, select your option and then hit the submit button, it`s that easy.
