News coming out of South Wales suggests that Wigan Athletic assistant boss Graeme Jones has turned down the opportunity to take over the reins at Swansea City following the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool, who ironically had Latics boss Roberto Martinez has their first choice until he turned them down

Graeme Jones met with Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins this week, but it is being reported at thisissouthwales.co.uk that ‘Jones rejected the chance to take over following talks with Jenkins’ opting to stay at the DW Stadium and work with Martinez instead

The Latics are in one of the most exciting periods in their history at the moment, the team that Martinez and Jones built are starting to fly and the new season is awaited with great optimism, why would anyone want to leave?
