The Football Supporters Federation Awards for 2014 are looming and to make them be the true fans awards the FSF are asking for nominations in a variety of different areas.

Last year saw some amazing people get what they truly deserved and that is because it was the paying football fan that made the choices and did the voting.

As we are the fans that watch and follow football each week, they are asking us to nominate who we think deserve rewarding in these areas:

? Away Day of the Year (choose Wigan or an actual away ground you have been impressed with)
? Blogger of the Year
? Commentator of the Year (Neil Rimmer)
? Fanzine of the Year (Vital Latics, Cockney Latic, Mud Hutter etc)
? Independent Website of the Year (Vital Latics, WASC, Cockney Latic, Jesus Was A Wiganer, Mud Hutter, TNS etc)
? Newspaper of the Year
? Player of the Year
? Podcast/Radio Show of the Year (e.g. PWU podcast, Wish FM etc)
? Pundit of the Year
? Supporter Liaison Officer of the Year (Wigan: Jason Taylor and Ian Wadsworth)
? Writer of the Year (Paul Kendrick (WEP), Barry Worthington (Vital), Jason Taylor (WASC) etc)

There are plenty of Wigan Athletic nominees you can nominate, if you don’t we won’t be represented?..

In the studio at the Beech Hill Book Cycle are a right angry mob, usual crew Barry, Gareth, Paul, Mick, Rob and Dan are joined this week by Greg Farrimond from th’Observer, Terry Atherton from Vancouver (Canada) and Pete Reece from t’other side of Wigan.

This week the podcast crew look back at the Ipswich game, recent performances and the state of play for the season so far, not what we were expecting to say the least.

Who is to blame for our current predicament?

Ipswich were in town this week, poor performances, not much fight, what is going on.

Once we calm down there are two games to look forward to, Bournemouth on Saturday and Forest next Tuesday, for once there isn’t too much optimism amongst the crew.

Contents – Well-rehearsed intros (0:00); lengthy Ipswich rant (1:10) including nerdy stat nitpicking, heated tactical discussion (for once), an ode to proper Championship challenges (16:15), the Macca-loney Fallacy and Handbag Report (21:30) and celebrating against your former club (30:00); Huws/Macca injury report (31:40); heavily derailed Bournemouth preview – there`s gold in them thar sands (39:00) including Championship RefWatch (42:03) and Quiz Time with Bamber Boozler AKA Mick (44:30); deforestation – Nottingham Forest preview (48:45) including Paul`s Grant Holt masterplan and inevitable Rosler debate (50:45) including Coyle Whelan-bashing (gasp!) (55:20)
