Former Wigan Athletic man Salomon Olembe is jetting back into the North West and heading up the M65 to Burnley as Clarets boss Brian Laws looks to set to sign the Cameroon international following his release from Turkish side Kayserispor.

The 29 year old left the Latics at the end of the 2008 season after making just 8 appearances moving to Turkey, Olembe had been signed by Chris Hutchings at the JJB the previous September as replacement for Leighton Baines who had moved to Everton during the summer.

Olembe is hoping to play for Burnley reserves tonight.
