Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez couldn`t hold back his delight has he talked to the press about Emerson Boyce scoring his second goal in three games and giving him a bonus.
The Latics defender followed up his strike against Burnley with another sweetly taken effort in yesterdays game against Fulham to put his side 1-0 up at the DW Stadium.
Following a corner Boyce remained in the Fulham penalty area as the ball was only cleared as far as Hugo Rodallega, the Colombian striker pinged a cross to the far post where Paul Scharner won a header and knocked the ball back across goal, waiting 8 yards out, Boycie controlled with his left then swept home with his right, a sweet strike, nice one Boycie.
Roberto was obviously thrilled and speaking to the press he said: ‘We had a couple of half-chances before the goal came, but we got a great delivery into the box, and Boycey showed great movement again.
‘It was a clear reward for Boycey’s play. He showed great concentration and great responsibility defensively, which is his job, but to chip in with another vital goal was a bonus.”
Fans Forum Ticket Competition

The fans forum will give supporters the opportunity to meet and question manager Roberto Martinez; also there is a hotpot supper included, now that does make the mouth water.
