Young Wigan Athletic reserve team striker Craig Mahon has returned to the club following his one month loan spell in East Lancashire at League Two club Accrington Stanley.
The experience will have done Mahony a world of good and he will have witnessed life at the lower end of the footballing ladder which will make him determined to succeed at the top.
The young forward made two substitute appearances for Stanley and their assistant boss Jimmy Bell told reporters:
“It has been difficult for him to get into the team. He`s a very talented lad but he`s still a little bit lightweight at the moment. I`m sure he will fill out and make a very good player.”
Mahon was spotted by Stanley bosses putting in a good performance along side Matty Hampson in the reserves game against Liverpool at the Robin Park Arena last month
