Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is all set to make his 150th league appearance today in the Latics game at Goodison Park against Europa League rivals Everton.

Kirkland, surely Englands best keeper, has had his career limited to just 150 so far by a series of injuries and a long standing back problem that makes it difficult for the big shot stopper to recover from one game to the next.

The big fella started his career off at Coventry before a big money move to Liverpool, limited chances there saw him go to West Brom on loan in the 2005/06 season before switching to the Latics for £2.5 million in 2006.

Without his injuries surely Kirkland would have had more than just the one England cap and a lot more than 150 league appearances, lets hope that he can keep injury free as he seems to be dealing with his troublesome back.

Here’s to the next 150, all with the Latics.
