Cho made his first appearence for Wigan tonight, in a reserve side that also featured Edman and Pollitt.
The game played in windy conditions, was for the first fifteen minutes a midfield battle against Liverpool’s league of nations.
The first real chance fell to the lively Mc Manamen for Wigan but he dragged his shot narrowly wide.
Cho played centre right in a five man midfield and showed his class when he beat two men in an attacking run but as he shaped to shoot, the shot was blocked.
Liverpool hit back and Hungarian striker Nemeth beat the offside trap but hit a weak and wide of the right hand post.
The first goal was as a result of good work once again by Mc Manamen, who beat the Liverpool defender Kelly to a Wigan free kick and was uncerimoniously upended. McManamen got up, dusted himself down and buried the resulting penalty into the corner.
The lead was short lived, from the kick off Liverpool went straight up the other end and a firece shot was well saved by Pollitt but the ball fell to Palsson who finished well, giving Pollitt no chance.
Cho continued to show his class and a superb break again down the right beating three men, When it appeared he was shaping to shoot ,he showed remarkable vision and passed across the box to the supporting Routledge who finished well agaisnt his old club.
Half time arrived with no other real chances and both teams could be well pleased with the quality of their passing games.
The second half started in muhc the same vein, with both keepers looking comfortable. Liverpool shattered the illision when Pollitt again saved well but Weilj finished to equilise.
Both sides then pressed lookign for the winner and for Wigan Holt, Mahon and Hampson went close forcing the keeper Bouzanis into good saves.
Liverpool’s best chance came on 90 minutes when Pollitt pulled off a world class save to deny the reds an undeserved winner.
Tonight was a much improved performance on the Sunderland reserve game and Cho once match fit looks to be a good signing
