It has been reported that Glasgow Celtic are considering bidding to take Wigan Athletic midfield player Jason Koumas on loan until the end of the season.

Koumas only joined the Latics in July last year for £5 million from West Brom but he doesn`t appear to be part of new managers Steve Bruces plans

Gordon Strachan is a well known admirer of Koumas and he might see the Welshman as just the sort of player to give the Glasgow giants a boost as they chase arch rivals Rangers for the SPL title

From Latics point of view a loan deal seems a bad option and if indeed Koumas isn`t part of Bruces plans then a sale would be the sensible option to release some funds to bring in someone who would fit into the Bruce revolution.

Perhaps Olivier Kapo?
