Following yesterdays win at the Stadium of Light Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce says that he is ready to reassess the targets for the season and start to consider a push for that European spot.

Yesterday saw the Latics achieve their 10th league win of the season and reach 38 points, Bruce says that 10 wins is a must to avoid relegation and now that`s been achieved its time to start looking upwards instead of down.

Hull City visit the JJB next Sunday and the Latics boss says that a win in that game and we can start seriously thinking about Europe and make a concerted challenge for 7th position in the table, Bruce told reporters:

‘ We`ve got a huge game against Hull if we can win that one we can obviously reset our targets, can we go and do it?”

“I`d have been very, very confident if I had been able to keep hold of the team but I had to sell in January”

“It can only stand them (the players) in good stead though and we are hopeful that we can go and challenge for that European spot”

“If we`d have lost today we`d have been looking over our shoulders, we`re Wigan at the end of the day and if we even have a chance of qualification it will have been a tremendous season’
