It was Steve Bruce’s second debut as Wigan manager following his long protracted move from Birmingham City.
Bruce likened Titus Bramble’s early howler to one of his own from many moons ago, but said he was delighted his side came back after losing 8 league games on the trot.
Paul Scharner cancelled after Geovanni scored the fastest goal of the season so far.
