Wigan Athletic centre back Titus Bramble is facing a battle to be fit for the Spurs game at the weekend which due to being on Sunday will give the Latics defender an extra day of recovery time.
Bramble was taken off after 51 minutes in last nights 0-0 draw with Bolton at the DW Stadium after feeling his hamstring tighten.
The 29 year old has been complaining of a tight hamstring for a couple of days and reported to the physio staff at half time last night that it was getting worse, Bramble was given 5 minutes in the second half but was withdrawn in case any further damage was done.
The big defender will now have rest and a daily massage until Sunday in a bid to get him fit for the game, speaking to the Wigan Evening Post Bramble said: ‘It’s a little too early to tell, but hopefully I’ll be fit for Sunday.
‘I’ve had a tight hamstring for a couple of days. I felt it getting tighter in the first half, and again when I did a sprint at the start of the second half.
‘It’s not pulled, which is lucky. I came off at the right time which avoided making it worse.
‘I just have to rest it now and have a bit of treatment, and I’m hoping for the best. I’d like to think I’ll be okay for Sunday.’
