Wigan Athletic are set to complete the signing this week of Argentina striker Mauro Boselli according to several media outlets.

The transfer saga has been ongoing for the past few weeks and has been made more complicated by the fact that Boselli is actually owned by two clubs, Estudiantes and Boca Juniors but it appears that the Latics have finally struck a deal that is acceptable to all parties and the 25 year old is now on his way to the DW Stadium

There has been interest in Boselli from Italy, Germany and other Premier League clubs but if these reports are correct the hotshot will be a Latic by the end of the week
