It`s being widely reported that Birmingham City have returned to Wigan Athletic with an improved offer for Charles N`Zogbia with the Birmingham Mail claiming this has been confirmed by Alex McLeish.

Birmingham had an £8 million bid turned down by the Latics last month with chairman Dave Whelan insisting that it would take at least £10 million to force the club to sell their prize asset and now it appears that McLeish has launched another bid to try and secure a move for the 24 year old France international.

N`Zogbia has made no secret that he would like to try his hand at a club with big ambitions, the only question here is do Birmingham fit into that category especially with Marseille, Fiorentina and Juventus also reportedly interested

With just under a week left of the current transfer window if N`Zogbia is set to leave the DW Stadium then negotiations will need to be starting soon.
