Reported Latics target Benjani Mwaruwari has joined Portsmouth in a £4.1 million deal from Auxerre.
Benjani Mwaruwari had earlier claimed that Wigan Athletic had spoken to his agent, and Sky Sports had reported that we had put a bid in for him.
Newcastle United were also said to be interested in him.
