Antonio Valencia, back in a Wigan Athletic kit, what’s all that about then?
Unfortunately for us the flying Ecuadorian hasn’t re-signed to the Latics but he was guesting in a game for his former team mate at the DW Stadium and very good friend Wilson Palacios who has opened a sports complex in his home country, Honduras, to celebrate his new venture Palacios put on an exhibition game with some of his mates, Valencia included, along with Maynor Figueroa. The teams played in Latics and Stoke City kits
Palacios said about Valencia ‘when I was at Wigan he (Valencia) was more than a team mate, he was like a brother’, Palacios’ father, Eulogio Palacios said that the complex ‘isn’t 100% ready yet, but we brought the opening ceremony forward so that we could play the exhibition match’
