Wigan Athletic centre back Antolin Alcaraz has been voted the Latics man of the match for his performance in Saturdays goalless draw against Spurs at the DW Stadium by Vital Wigan members.

The Paraguay international was superb all afternoon and kept the Spurs front line of Jermaine Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Rafael Van der Vaart quiet, so much so that Peter Crouch replaced Defoe on 57 minutes, but the lanky England striker got no change out of Alcaraz either.

So an excellent performance from the vice-captain and well deserved man of the match award, for the record the voting was:

Antolin Alcaraz – 44%
James McCarthy – 16%
Emmerson Boyce – 9%

The new poll is now available for you to vote in, to participate simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option and hit the submit button, it`s that easy.
