Andy Liddell, or Sir Andrew of Wigan as he was affectionately known to Wigan Athletic fans, was voted the best ever Latics winger by Vital Wigan pollsters.

Liddell took 34% of the vote beating Antonio Valencia into 2nd place with 26% and Ray Woods into 3rd with 10%.

Lidds joined the Latics from Barnsley in October 1998 for £350,000 and looked like a bargain from the word go, he played a total of 217 games and scored 70 goals in his time at Wigan

Liddell is the all time leading Latics goal scorer in League football and is a Latics Legend.
