An Unpopular Question. Should We Cash In On Nick Powell?

I can`t wait for this weekend because I think we`re going to make a real statement to the rest of the league.

I know, perhaps, I shouldn`t be so confident given that we`re facing a side in great form but, despite all of that and the extra games they`ve played, they`ve hardly pulled away from us.

Certainly, I am of the firm opinion that we are the better team and I reckon we`ll beat Blackburn as the run-in to May really begins.

For sure, I also am confident we`re going to be a Championship side next year and this summer should, therefore, be an exciting one at the club.

I have a perhaps unpopular suggestion, though, and that`s asking whether, or not, it would be a good idea to cash in Nick Powell?
The midfielder has been a class act this season and is really fulfilling that potential we knew he had this year.

In the last window, The Sun had a number of Premier League sides looking at him and, rightly, we blocked such moves in order to preserve our promotion hopes.

If they come back in for him in the summer, though, perhaps it would be the right time to cash-in.

I reckon we could get at least £10m for him as things stand and, when we`re looking to buy players to stay up for next year, that is good money.

Of course, we`d miss his goals and creativity, but we`d replace him with potentially three or four new arrivals that would bolster the squad overall.

With them, alongside whoever else we manage to sign, we should have a stronger squad and so, though I think he`s a class player, I think selling up could be better in the long run.

Do you agree with me? Should we sell Powell in the summer? Let me know in the poll!
