Wigan Athletic are set to hand new loan signing Amr Zaki his debut at some point in tomorrows game at Sheffield Wednesday following Latics receiving the players International Transfer Certificate giving him the clearance to play

It is understood by Vital Wigan that Latics boss Steve Bruce is planning to give Zaki a 30 minute run out has he builds his fitness in preparation for the seasons opening game at West Ham in a fortnights time.

Olivier Kapo is also expected to be given his debut tomorrow following the Frenchmans recovery from a slight knock that kept him out of the friendly at Barnsley last Tuesday

Kapo is one of a trio of players that joined the Latics from Bruces former club Birmingham since the turn of the year, following Palacios in January and De Ridder in May.

Paul Scharner is still injured after suffering a twisted ankle in the game at Oakwell so Titus Bramble looks set to make his first start of the preseason
