Wigan Athletic have signed their second left back in two days with the capture of Partick Thistle’s Aaron Taylor-Sinclair.

The 23 year old has been linked with a move to the DW Stadium for the past few weeks and now the Latics have officially announced that the highly rated youngster has penned a three year contract.

Partick signed Taylor-Sinclair from Montrose in 2011 and he has made over 100 appearances for the Jags, helping them gain promotion to the Scottish Premier League in 2012/13 and to maintain their top flight status last season.

Latics boss Uwe Rösler said of his latest capture – ‘Aaron fits exactly with the type of player we are looking to bring to the club, young, hungry, dynamic and ready to fit into our culture.

‘He has been a key player for Partick Thistle for a couple of seasons now and he has been on our radar for some time. We will give him the time he needs to become integrated but he has the potential to develop into the sort of player who can take the club forwards.’

Speaking to the Latics official site Aaron Taylor-Sinclair said – ‘When the opportunity to come to Wigan came up, I was very interested, and I feel this is the next step in my career.

‘I want to meet up with everyone now, get working and prove to the gaffer that he has made a good choice.’
