Wigan Athletic have only 3 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.
With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Wigan Athletic find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 23nd place in the relegation spots in the Championship on 41 points, we are seven points behind Blackburn Rovers and winless in three matches has seen the club relegated into League One for the 2017/18 campaign.
Ending this year with a victory would temper the disappointment slightly and going into next year with a victory behind us may at least raise spirits a touch but all eyes now will be on trying to bounce back at the first time of asking.
